Trekking to Raj Gundha Village is best experienced between the months of March and November when the villagers are in residence. This is the time of year when the terrain is most accessible and the climate is favorable.

Villagers here cultivate potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, radish, kidney beans, peas, and tomatoes and are semi-nomadic, moving to higher pastures in the mountains with their flocks during winter.

The village is now connected by road and bridge over the Uhl River and has electricity and phone connectivity. There are also now basic guest houses and a forest department store.

Trekking to Raj Gundha Village can be quite tough and risky in December, January, and February when the area experiences heavy snowfall and the roads and paths are often covered. In these months, trekking can become quite steep and hazardous in some places. It is therefore recommended that trekking to Raj Gundha Village take place between March and November.

Traveling to Rajgundha Village from October to mid-December can be done safely via trek or road. Camping is also an option during this pre-winter, pre-snowfall period. Trekking to the sky village of Thathi from Rajgundha is also possible in a single day and is the best trekking route.
